Bette Sherbourne creates collages, pastels, watercolors, acrylics, and mixed media artwork. She feels that her work is purely creative. She usually does not know where the piece is going until she feels it is time to stop; which is a joyful feeling.
Bette has been juried in many shows. She had a two-month "One-Woman Show" for Del Norte Association for Cultural Awareness. She has had two pieces juried into the Coo's Bay Museum and six collages juried into the "Sass with Glass" show at Oregon State University.
Eight of Sherbourne's paintings hang in the Offices of Integrity Financial Planners. The decor of their conference room was built around the colors and images of one of her large paintings. Another hangs in the office of their CEO.
Bette has received glowing reports on her shows, along with comments that her artwork is unique.
Bette is a past Historian, Public Relations Officer, and President of Pelican Bay Arts Association in Brookings. As President she was a driving force for the addition of the classroom to the Manley Art Center
